Not all pigment is created equal.

It’s no secret that pigment is a key ingredient in mulch colorant, but just because the pigment is brighter, doesn’t make the product better. That’s why our top R&D team has tested and perfected the process of mixing together the best parts of multiple pigments, including organic, inorganic, natural and synthetic, so you can actually see the difference.

Pigment that’s proven to perform.

Even with the same amount of pigment, the performance of each colorant is based on the mix of the pigments used. For example, both organic and synthetic pigments add an immensely saturated color boost to any dispersion, while inorganic pigments are resistant to UV light and provide protection against degradation. By mixing these pigment types, we can produce an entire palette of colorant that offers terrific tint strength and UV stability.

Sourcing high-quality pigment matters, but it’s what we do with the pigment that makes our colorant so brilliant and resilient. Our process uses dispersants specific to the type of pigment to optimize the strengths of each one. Inside our dispersion cans, the pigment particles become small enough to coat the unique nooks and crannies of wood fibers, so they’re evenly and equally covered.
