Quantum Organics Sees 'Monumental' Shift with GEM Studio

Quantum Organics knows what it takes to be an industry leader. The Southington, Connecticut-based company is a pioneer in the green waste industry. Incorporating Colorbiotics' GEM Studio elevated its products to another level. The operation is Connecticut’s first commercial food waste recycling facility that uses anaerobic digestion, a waste treatment process that breaks down energy and nutrients from multiple sources, including food waste, wood waste and more. Their 60-acre facility transforms over 40,000 tons of green waste into compost, soils and bark mulch every year.

Quality is Key

Quantum Organics’ partnership with Colorbiotics allows them to create high quality, consistent and beautiful mulch products that set them apart from the influx of area competitors.

“Two years ago, we incorporated the GEM Studio into our operation and it’s been monumental for business development and getting the best quality product out there for our customers,” said Ryan Boyle, yard operations manager for Quantum Organics.

The Colorbiotics partnership enabled the company to reduce its cost per yard through precise water and colorant usage.

The Best Mulch in the Business

Quantum Organics’ color-enhanced mulch offerings include shades of dark brown, bright red, dark red and black. No matter the mulch variation, they are all-natural and never treated with chemicals.

“Whether you’re ordering one yard of mulch, a half yard of mulch or 100,000 yards of mulch, it’s going to be that best quality, top product that you have, and a consistent product that you can rely on and count on,” Boyle said.
